What is Wisdom?
Finding the definition of wisdom was more than I expected. Upon look-up, meanings were basic, philosophical, biblical - - letting me know that 1) there is a difference between worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom, and 2) wisdom is perceived differently by different people. To that matter, it is also perceived at different stages. My first encounter with wisdom was gaining knowledge. I later dealt with how to apply what I learned. As I began to see things from a spiritual perspective, I was finally able to come up with a personal definition which evolved over the course of several years. For me, wisdom is being teachable and recognizing the necessity to surrender to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in my effort to build strength.
Depending on where you are in life or what season you're in, wisdom might be something different for you than it is for someone else. What is wisdom to you in this moment? Perhaps it will change as you grow. The beauty of wisdom, in all its capacities, is that we get to explore it and share our findings with each other through a womanly bond. Wow, isn't that great?
